The following are Infant Mortality and Life Expectancy for Selected Countries, in 2007 from the World Health Organisation.
If you look at the following statistics, you will find comparable first world medicine countries marked. ## = Low circumcision rates less than 20% mostly less than 5%, USA** = High Circumcision country.
Note that low circumcision countriues## have lower infant mortality (predominantly less 5 or less) and higher life expectancy average closer to 80, than high circumcision countries such as the USA** which has an infant mortality rate of 6.4 and a lower life expectancy of 78. These figures totally debunk the myth the routine male circumcision offers medical benefits, one could be unscrupulous and suggest that it might even harm the health of a nation and increase infant mortality?? However, to be totally scientific and objective I think what the statistics on infant mortality and life expectancy show, is that routine male circumcision has no overall observable medical benefit!
