Coming to terms with American circumcision requires the intellectual tools of social science (e.g., cognitive dissonance, projection, rationalisation, risk compensation, the authoritarian personality, in and out groups), not those of urology and wider medicine. The great tragedy of circumcision is that those circumcised by force in childhood often acquire a compulsion to have their own sons circumcised by force. The AAP Task Force was not qualified to address any of these issues.cosmopolitenoreply@blogger.com
